Je vois le Tour de France chaque année parce que c’est l’événement favorite de mon mari. Il y a souvent des accidents, quelquefois ils sont très mauvaises et les cyclistes doivent quitter le competition. Ça c’est vraiment dommage.
Accidents de voiture ! Yes, numbers of times myself . 😅 Une fois, once at the intersection, a car in front of me tried to turn and collided with oncoming car on the other side. The car spanned and crashed very badly. I just felt numb.
No, not your English speaking mind, those are your *French* instincts and they're great! Trust them. Yes, the 'j'ai' is redundant. French people would just say 'Oui' in this case. Or (if you wanted to emphasis the point) perhaps 'Oui, en effet' 😊

Quand j’etais dans un accident de voiture, le temps a passe tres lentement. Heurusement, personne n’a ete blesse.
Je suis heureuse d'apprendre que tout le monde s'en est sorti, mais c'est une expérience unique que de voir le temps ralentir, c'est certain !
