The monthly French level test is a full listening-and-comprehension test, published the first Saturday of every month. Each one is built from that month’s actual dialogues — a story read aloud, a grammar-and-vocabulary round, and a real French article — then scored out of 18. It’s a members’ feature. Same month, everyone, one shared benchmark.

Here’s the honest problem with learning a language: from the inside, you can’t feel yourself getting better. You do the lessons, the weeks blur together, and one quiet Tuesday the old thought creeps in — am I actually improving, or just… busy? That thought is where most people quietly quit. So I built the mirror. On the first Saturday of every month, you sit the same kind of test — listening, grammar, a real article — drawn entirely from the lessons you just did. You get a number. Next month you get another one. And somewhere around the third month you stop wondering whether you’re improving, because you can see it.

🥗 The recipe for a test
Eighteen questions, three sections, about fifteen minutes — all built from that month’s own lessons, so it only ever asks what you’ve actually been taught:
👂🏻 Section 1 · Listening — a short first-person story, read aloud in my voice, then five questions on what you caught. You listen first, like real life.
📋 Section 2 · Grammar & vocabulary — eight questions built around the month’s key phrases and the grammar underneath them. No trick questions, just the useful stuff at a real B1 stretch.
🗞️ Section 3 · Reading & advanced listening — a genuine French article, read at natural speed — plus the ⚡️ à la Parisienne clip: the same text at the deliberately, comically fast pace of a real Parisian in a hurry. (It’s meant to be almost impossible. That’s the fun.)
🎯 A score out of 18 and a class poll — mark your answers, find your band, and vote. You’ll see exactly where you land against everyone else who sat it.
