✪ Notes
il fait tarpin froid = it’s really cold. tarpin is a little taste of colloquial language from southern France. Generally the French from Provence doesn’t reach Paris.. but it’s happening more and more. Go further here🔗
rien ne vaut = nothing beats/there’s nothing like
il pleut à verse = il pleut beaucoup = it’s pouring down. Alt. “il pleut des cordes”
humeur = mood/temper, pas d'humeur = not in the mood
c’est indéniable✨ = nice alternative to “c’est sûr!” - switch it up, keep things fresh.
profiter au maximum = make the most of, Alt. récolter les bienfaits de. I often find these are phrases my students want to use quite a bit.
peu importe✨ = regardless/no matter Ex.
*✨ = especially ‘Frenchie’ words/phrases you should try and use more.
My family and friends are big Autumn (Fall) people. But it’s Spring for me I think. There's something so refreshing and uplifting about this time of year. The days start getting longer and nature comes alive again, and you know summer’s coming. Plus, when the weather gets warm, there’s no so many pesky bugs around—perfect for hiking or going on a run.
Alors, quelle est ta saison préférée ? 💬
All answers are welcome. One word.. or one sentence.

Translation
M : What's your favorite season?
I : I love autumn, M. There's something so comforting about watching the rain inside, with a cup of coffee, in a cozy sweater. And maybe with an open fire if it's really cold. What about you?
M: Ah, for me, nothing beats summer. I love being able to wear a T-shirt outside, go hiking and sunbathe.
I : Autumn can be cool and cloudy, and sometimes it pours, but I think it's a charming season. Don't you think the season influences your mood?
M: Absolutely, summer always puts me in a good mood. Plus, the sun is an excellent source of vitamin D.
I : That's true, but even if there's a cold snap coming, I think we can still enjoy the season.
M : There's no denying it. Whether it's summer or autumn, the important thing is to make the most of the time of year.
I : Whatever the season, there's always something beautiful to enjoy. Each season has its own charms.
